Adrian was a great stalwart of Tynemouth Men's Hockey Club for many years. He was Men's 1st team captain and goalkeeper and Northumberland County captain and goalkeeper. He put much effort into the club and was also a coach and until recently, an active member of the Northumberland and Durham Hockey Umpires' Association.
Adrian had been suffering from an illness for over a year and yet still got to watch some of our matches at The Parks.
Ada was my geography teacher and got myself and Jonathan Thompson involved in hockey at The King's School, Tynemouth.
His funeral is on 30th March, at 10.45 at Holy Trinity Church, Jesmond.
