In order to make more links with the Golf Club - perhaps foolishly - I challenged them to a golf competition!
It will take place on Sunday 17th September with 12 players from each section. We will be playing a 2 man/woman Texas Scramble Matchplay Competition. (Don't ask me what that is. It was explained and I still haven't got a clue. I've never even picked up a golf bat before.
The details are:
11.30 Tea/coffee and bacon sandwich
12.30 First tee shot
4.30 onwards Soup and sandwiches
The cost will be £10 to cover the food and hopefully there will be a trophy for the winners and this will become an annual event.
