After a recent good run of form and with some comprehensive wins The Bay were in high spirits and feeling confident of another victory against Neston, South Wirral. Bay started well with a good period of possession and controlled the play effectively. There was some great build up play starting from the back with Kerry-Anne Hastings and Alex Plummer. This build up play led to some great control at the attacking end with several short corners won from penetrating play from Caitlin, Joss and Bev.
One of the short corners led to a great deflection from Bev to score Bay’s first goal. The home team continued to hold and control possession and the defence was not put under much pressure. Bay went into half time with a 1-0 lead which was slightly frustrating given the amount of possession and pressure we had put the opposition under.
The second half started well and we had some good breaks through midfield from Ali, Emily and Sarah. We were able to obtain further short corners one of which ended fruitfully with a great goal from Lottie Gill as we cemented our third successive win.
All in all it was a good result and a decent performance despite being a bit frustrating at times.
