The sun was shining at The Parks for WBTHC 2 first home match of the season when they hosted JPC. With confidence from the opening game, the home side were keen to build on the strong performance from the previous week. However it was evident from the opening exchanges the visitors were well organised and would provide a strong challenge.

The first half started with both sides cancelling each other out. As the match progressed JPC begun to build and created a number of chances resulting in hitting the post twice in quick succession. It was no surprise when shortly after the home side found themselves a goal down after a quick break and well taken finish from the visiting JPC. The home team regrouped and fought their way back into the match and were rewarded with an equaliser through a well taken short corner routine finished off be Mark Gill to see the teams go in level at the break.

WBTHC started the second half positively and limited the visitors to very few chances; however they struggled to create any real goal scoring opportunities themselves. The visitors showed their experience as the second half progressed, soaking up the WBTHC pressure and then hitting on the break to score twice. The home side couldn’t get back in the game and it finished with a disappointing result.

Result: WBTHC – 1 vs JPC - 3
